New Cabinet Ministers in Nigeria


After dissoving the Federal Executive Council (federal cabinet), acting Vice-President has sworn in the new cabinet ministers. Information Minister Professor Dora Akunyili has retained her post. Only 13 ministers from the previous cabinet were retained.  Another prominent appointment is the new Finance Minister Olusegun Aganga. Aganga was a senior executive at the investment bank Goldman Sachs. You can read a profile of the new ministers at:

    Good selection, but effort should still be made to ensure that they would not be corrupt.

  5. They scored B in the selection, but the government should ensure they follow up with these ministers so that they will not be like the formal ministers in terms of corrupt. eg, INEC chairman: maurice iwu.

  32. If President Goodluck Jonathan had known that Mrs Dora Akunyili would eventually resign from her job,he wouldn’t had chosen her for it in the first place. Besides,i always believed Dora was a bad choice for Information Minister. What has a pharmacist to do with that kind of job. She was only good for that NAFDAC work.
