That was articulate retort to a frankly irritating attempt at laundeing OBJ's permanently tarnished image(like as if he had any positive image in the first place going by fela anikulakpo's lyrical assessement of him even in his hey days in the 70's)

Nigerians are anything but critical of Obasanjo and his style of leadership. Obasanjo's undoing was his arrogating all problems and solutions to himself. Of course, he never ceased to tell anybody who cared to listen that he was not under obligation to take advice from his retinue of advisers and he never did.Obasanjo presided over one of the worst administration in Nigeria by the proclvity of that unfortunate administration to cronyism and the tendency for vindictiveness. After all did Iyabo Obasanjo not say as much in one of the interviews she granted to one of the Natinal dailies. When asked about the father's tendency to avenge self, she drew an anology with a child sent to school and was often harrassed until he or she learns to fight back.He was equally egoistic and brooked no opposition. Recall that insecurity was rife within the period he presided over the affairs of the country. Any administration that fails to secure the lives of the administered,is a failure. In this wise his administratoin was running neck to neck with the often vilified Abacha government. Or was it not during his time that Bola Ige,Harry Marshal,Dikibo, etc died. Or have we forgotten the Odi and Zaki Biam holocausts. What about the unfortunate political brigandage in Anambra State. In fact, the man should be packed for the Country's Hall Of Shame. Fast!

It is very true that Nigerians are being unfair to Obasanjo. This guy has done for Nigeria during his first and second tenure as leader of this country than what any other leader has done in terms of economic or infrastructural development
